Build and backtest a strategy from scratch, or select one of our supported trading bots and import its JSON settings into Backtest Mechanic on your own computer. HAL-assisted diagnostics and controlled repairs are the goal—without uploading your strategy to our website.

Choose Trend Bot but import ZigZag Bot settings? The installed app will identify the mismatch and stop before testing. No silent conversion, no corrupted configuration.
Planned integration: actual support will be enabled and verified bot by bot. A successful JSON import alone does not establish accurate backtest compatibility.
Research and trading features depend on the installed application and supported broker/data connections. Backtests are not guarantees of future performance. Live deployment always requires your approval.
The Backtest Mechanic installer has not been published yet. This download button is reserved for the verified desktop release; it does not download a mock application or upload your files.

HAL THINK BOX · PATTERN RULES + PLAIN ENGLISH BETA
Give your bot custom thinking.
Go beyond preset strategies. Build precise pattern-entry rules in the Custom Pattern Rule editor, or try describing an idea in everyday language using the new Plain English (Beta) tab.
- Pattern Library: explore supported triangles, double tops and bottoms, engulfing candles, hammers and shooting stars.
- Custom Pattern Rule: configure touches, breakout confirmation, RVOL, time windows and other pattern-specific conditions. Supported saved rules can filter new entries.
- Plain English (Beta): type a trading instruction, click Preview JSON, then edit the generated JSON draft directly.
- See your logic: inspect rule settings and, for supported saved pattern rules, review entry-blocking decisions.
EARLY BETA — Plain English currently uses a limited phrase interpreter, not an AI language model. Its JSON output is an editable preview only: it is not saved, validated as a live rule or sent to the trading engine. More language understanding, patterns and rule options are planned. Availability depends on bot and edition.
